Desert Town Landings
BBC Arts short film / Written, directed & edited by Tenaya Steed / Made with & starring local people / Broadcast on BBC4
Desert Town Landings is a short, magical realism film inspired by the collaborative book and sci-fi workshop series UFOs over Desert Towns. Starring entirely local ‘non-actors’ coming from a place of lived experience - many performing from the windows of their own homes during lockdown 01 - the everyday encounters and lo-fi UFO props tell a collective story of small-town boredom and the friendships you grow up with in forgotten towns.
